BS Space

BS Space Semarang presents itself as a familiar silhouette, yet feels unexpectedly open once approached. The pitched roof recalls a domestic scale, something recognisable and grounded, while the transparent front quietly dissolves the boundary between the street and the interior. Rather than standing apart from its surroundings, the building positions itself as an extension of everyday urban life, inviting people in without ceremony.

Approaching the building, the openness becomes more apparent. The ground floor unfolds as a shared plane, where activities inside remain visible and connected to the outside. Light enters generously through the tall glass façade, allowing movement, conversation, and work to be read as part of a collective scene. The architecture avoids rigid separation, letting professional meetings, casual encounters, and moments of pause coexist within the same spatial frame.

Inside, Bspace operates less as a defined program and more as a flexible setting. The volume of the space supports gathering without pressure, while its simplicity allows it to adapt to different scales and occasions. In this balance between familiarity and openness, Bspace becomes a place to occupy rather than consume, a setting that encourages interaction, presence, and continuity with the city beyond its walls.
